Visitors, guests, and volunteers of the University may request disability or chronic health-related accommodations as needed to participate in an event, activity, program, job application process and more. Guests and visitors should request accommodations directly through the department or unit hosting the program, activity, or event, or through HR in the case of a job applicant. If accommodations cannot be implemented by the department, unit, or HR, a guest or visitor may contact the DRC to explore the request. In some cases, the hosting unit or department will work with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) to arrange the accommodation.
Visitors and guests should request accommodations in advance and no later than the deadlines set by the hosting unit. Accommodation requests made without sufficient notice may not be possible to implement. In some instances, the person requesting the accommodation may be asked to provide health documentation to the DRC.
For general inquiries about the process for seeking an accommodation as a guest or visitor, please contact the DRC at [email protected] or 612-626-1333.
Volunteers
Volunteers should work directly with their supervisor to request accommodations. Supervisors may reach out to [email protected] to consult on requests.
