Prospective Students

You are a prospective student if you have been admitted to one of the programs or colleges at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (U of M-TC).  Prospective students with disabilities or health conditions may need accommodations for housing, or to participate in orientation and/or Welcome Week activities.  If this is true for you, please register with the DRC shortly after confirming that you will attend the U of M-TC. Please look around our website for more information for prospective students.

If you are a student who is exploring attending the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, start by reading the information for prospective and current students.  The table of Information on Transition from High School to College will help high school students and their families learn about processes and expectations at the U of M-TC.  We get many requests for meetings to determine what accommodations will be put in place if a student attends this institution. Due to the large number of currently enrolled students who use our services, we meet with students who are exploring the possibility of attending the U of M-TC for 15 minutes during our drop-in hours.  These sessions can be in person or over the phone. During this time we can discuss general questions about access and accommodations. We can also communicate by email and will reply to questions if you email us at [email protected]

Once you have been admitted to the U of M-TC and confirm you will attend, please call us to schedule an initial appointment (in person or by phone) in order to discuss access and accommodations you will need in your program or college.
